CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
    1. Skirt panel - 4 QTY
    2. Waistband - 1 QTY
  • From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: waistband.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce the waistband with FUSIBLE INTERFACING (Heat-activated interfacings are pressed onto the wrong side of the piece with a hot iron).
  2. Stitch the back center seam below the slit mark. Stitch the front center seam and side seams. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open, press SEAM ALLOWANCES along the slit edges to the wrong side.
  3. Baste the ZIPPER to the slit SEAM ALLOWANCES in the middle of the back panel, stitch from the right side at a distance of 0.5 cm.
  4. Pin the waistband right sides together to the upper edge of the skirt, stitch. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the attachment seam towards the waistband. Fold the waistband right sides together in half widthwise, stitch the ends. Turn the waistband right side out, turn under the inner edge of the waistband and pin so that the inner edge overlaps the attachment seam by approximately 2 mm. Topstitch the inner edge from the right side into the waistband attachment seam.
  5. Work a buttonhole on the left end of the waistband, sew a button on the right.
  6. Turn the SEAM ALLOWANCES for the skirt hem to the wrong side, turn under, topstitch at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge.
