- 1 BACK PANEL CENTER - 1 piece on fold
- 2 BACK SIDE PANEL - 2 pieces
- 3 FRONT PANEL CENTER - 2 pieces
- 4 FRONT SIDE PANEL - 2 pieces
- 5 BACK NECK FACING - 1 piece on fold
- 6 FRONT FACING - 2 pieces
- 7 COLLAR - 2 pieces on fold
- 8 UPPER SLEEVE - 2 pieces
- 9 LOWER SLEEVE - 2 pieces
- FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
- - FRONT PANEL CENTER - 2 pieces
- - BACK NECK FACING - 1 piece on fold
- - COLLAR - 2 pieces on fold
- - FRONT FACING - 2 pieces
- LINING: Prepare the pieces. Mark the width of the FRONT FACING on the FRONT PANEL CENTER. Place the BACK NECK FACING on the BACK PANEL CENTER and mark. Cut off the width of the front edge and FACING along the marked lines. Cut the pieces also from LINING fabric.
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch darts on the FRONT PANEL CENTER pieces and BACK PANEL CENTER.
- Stitch front and back princess seams, as well as side and shoulder seams.
- Face the front edges of the FRONT PANELs with the FRONT FACINGs. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the seam. Stitch shoulder seams of the FRONT FACINGs and BACK NECK FACING.
- Stitch COLLAR pieces along the outer contour, right sides together. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the seam, turn the COLLAR right side out, press the edges. Join the open edges and baste into the neckline.
- Stitch the FRONT FACINGs and FACING right sides together to the neckline, inserting the COLLAR. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the stitches, clip curves multiple times, trim corners diagonally.
- Lay the FRONT FACINGs forward. Turn up the hem SEAM ALLOWANCES to the wrong side and stitch. Turn the FRONT FACINGs inward again, stitch to the hem SEAM ALLOWANCES.
- Stitch SLEEVE seams. Turn up the hem SEAM ALLOWANCES to the wrong side and stitch. Set in SLEEVES. Attach shoulder pads.
- Stitch LINING pieces. Stitch LINING right sides together to the FACING and FRONT FACINGs, starting and ending the stitch approximately 8 cm from the bottom edge. Turn the LINING to the wrong side, turn under and stitch to the hem SEAM ALLOWANCES of the jacket and SLEEVES. Turn under the remaining open edges of the LINING and stitch to the FRONT FACINGs.
- Along the right front edge, make buttonholes according to the markings. Sew buttons on the left side corresponding to the buttonhole placement.
