CUTTER'S MUST

• From main fabric:
  1. FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
  2. BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
• Additionally: Cut BIAS BINDING for finishing the upper edges of the pant halves and for ties, each 4 cm wide, including SEAM ALLOWANCES, and with the following lengths:
  1. TRIM STRIP for finishing the upper edges of the back pant halves, the right front pant half, and for the right tie 84-87-90 cm (of which approx. 30 cm is the length of the integrated tie);
  2. TRIM STRIP for finishing the upper edge of the left front pant half and for the left tie 49.5-50.5-51.5 cm (of which approx. 30 cm is the length of the integrated tie).
• From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: Press a 1 cm wide non-woven tape to the front and back pant halves along the marked upper edge line of the pants (but not to the SEAM ALLOWANCES, as they will be trimmed!).

Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch the darts, press the dart depths towards the center seam line.
2. Sew the side seams, leaving an opening at the top of the left seam for the ZIPPER closure.
3. Stitch the inseams. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
4. Place the pant halves one inside the other, right side to right side, and sew the center seam, stopping 2.5 cm short of the upper edge of the pants at the front = front slit. Since the center seam on pants can easily tear, it is best to sew it with a special elastic stitch or with 2 parallel rows of small stitches. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
5. Press the edges of the slit to the wrong side. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCE along the upper edge of the pants.
6. Fold the BIAS BINDING with the pants, right sides together, and pin to the upper edge of the pants, leaving the ties extending beyond the edges of the front slit by approx. 30 cm. Stitch the TRIM STRIP at a distance of 1 cm, turn, enclosing the SEAM ALLOWANCES, to the wrong side, fold under and baste over the stitching line.
7. Fold under the longitudinal edges of the ties by 1 cm, then fold each tie in half and press.
8. Topstitch the TRIM STRIP close to the edge, catching the inner half of the TRIM STRIP, and without interrupting the stitching, sew the longitudinal edges of the ties.
9. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the ZIPPER opening to the wrong side. Stitch the ZIPPER so that the teeth are not visible, folding under the upper ends of the tapes.
10. Press the hem allowance of each pant half to the wrong side, fold under and topstitch at a distance of 2.5 cm.
