  • Gabardine
  • Crepe
  • Linen blends
  • Ponte de Roma

Additional Supplies

  • Fusible interfacing for waistband
  • 1 zipper
  • 1 button

Cutter's Must

  • Back - 2 qty
  • Front - 2 qty
  • Waistband - 1 qty

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the side seams, leaving an open section at the top of the left seam for the zipper closure. Stitch the inseams. Stitch the front and back center seams with a single continuous stitch.
  2. Press the seam allowances for the zipper along the edges to the wrong side. Insert the zipper from the inside with a blind stitch.
  3. Attach the fusible interfacing to the waistband. Attach the waistband to the upper edges of the trousers, leaving a seam allowance for the closure at the back edge of the slit. Turn the waistband halfway to the right side, cleanly stitch the ends. Fold under the inner edge of the waistband and stitch it onto the attachment seam. Create a buttonhole at the front end of the waistband. Sew a button onto the waistband's seam allowance corresponding to the buttonhole's position.
  4. Press the hem allowance to the wrong side and stitch.
