FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: a concealed zipper; fusible interfacing.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the lower edge of the back and front lower parts – 2.0 cm. Lower sleeve allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Upper center back part – 2 pieces
  • Upper side back part - 2 pieces
  • Upper center front part – 1 piece
  • Upper side front part - 2 pieces
  • Lower back part - 2 pieces
  • Lower front part – 1 piece on fold
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing - 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing - 2 pieces
  • Lining for center part – 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back neckline facing - 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to facing pieces.
2. Stitch the princess seams of the upper back parts. Overlock allowances and press towards the center. Stitch the upper and lower back parts. Overlock allowances and press upwards.
3. Overlock the center back seam separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Insert the concealed zipper.
4. Along the princess seams of the upper center front part, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Place the center front part with the lining of the center front part right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Turn the lining to the wrong side and press the upper edge. Secure the upper part and lining along the princess seams. Then treat as one piece.
5. Stitch the princess seams of the front. Overlock allowances and press towards the side seam. Stitch the upper and lower front parts. Overlock allowance and press upwards.
6. Stitch the side and shoulder seams. Overlock allowances and press towards the back.
7. Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings. Overlock the outer edge. Place the facing on the right side of the dress. Stitch the neckline and the section of the princess seam (the center part is located between the side and the facing). Turn the facing to the wrong side and secure it to the shoulder seams and the allowances of the center back seam.
8. Along the sleeve cap edge, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock allowance and press towards the back. Set in the sleeve according to the marks. Overlock allowance and press.
9. Overlock the bottom edge of the dress and sleeve, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
