CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the dress – 3.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back neckline facing - 1 piece
    • Front neckline facing - 1 piece
    • Flap – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve facing – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch the center back seam. Finish seam allowances and press to the left side. Attach the yoke to the back. Finish seam allowance and press upwards. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
  3. Stitch the bust darts. Press the dart fullness upwards.
  4. Place flap pieces right sides together and stitch along the two short sides and the curved side. Trim seam allowances, clip corners, turn right side out. Press the flap. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge. Fold the top pocket allowance inwards by 1 cm, then another 1 cm, and stitch. Fold the pocket allowances inwards and press. Stitch the pocket onto the front according to the markings.
  5. Attach the yoke to the front, inserting the flap. Finish seam allowance and press upwards. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
  6. Place the pocket bag right side down on the front, align the pocket edges, and stitch the pocket opening. Turn the pocket bag to the wrong side, clip seam allowances, and press. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge. Place the pocket facing under the pocket, stitch and finish the pocket edges.
  7. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and finish.
  8. Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings, press allowances open. Finish the outer edge. Place the facing on the garment right sides together. Stitch the neckline edge. Clip seam allowances at curves and corners. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Secure the facing to the main garment at the shoulder seams and center back seam.
  9. Stitch the sleeve seam. Finish seam allowance and press. Stitch the sleeve facing into a loop, finish the outer edge. Place the facing on the sleeve right sides together and secure at the lower edge. Make a slit according to the mark. Stitch the bottom of the sleeve, along the slit, stitching is done 0.1-0.2 cm from the edge.
  10. Set the sleeve into the armhole, matching notches. Finish seam allowance and press.
  11. Finish the bottom edge of the dress, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
