Introducing a comfortable and stylish long-sleeve knit top, featuring a striking V-shaped guipure lace yoke that adds an elegant touch to its relaxed silhouette.
This versatile top is perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to various occasions:
Silhouette: A relaxed, straight-fit top designed for comfort and ease of wear.
Neckline: Classic crew neckline, finished with a neat facing for a clean look.
Yoke: The standout feature is a beautifully intricate V-shaped guipure lace yoke on the front, extending over the shoulders and continuing as an upper panel on the back.
Sleeves: Long, comfortable set-in sleeves, crafted from the main knit fabric and topped with the lace yoke detail.
Hem: Straight bottom hem, ensuring a clean and modern finish.
Intermediate. This pattern involves working with knit fabrics and delicate lace, requiring careful handling, precise seam matching for the V-shaped yoke, and specific knit finishing techniques.
Choose fabrics that offer both comfort and structure to complement the design:
Fabric recommendations: low-stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers. Guipure lace in contrasting or complementary colors. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: knit fusible interfacing.
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 2 cm. FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
