Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Reinforce details with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch bust darts on the front. Press dart depths upwards.
  3. Stitch shoulder and side seams of the blouse. Press seams towards the back and serge.
  4. Make a loop closure, or use elastic cord.
  5. Stitch shoulder and side seams of facings. Press seams open. Serge the outer edge. Place facing right side down on the neckline, aligning edges. Clip the back neckline according to the mark. Stitch the neckline, inserting the loop closure. The slit is stitched 0.1-0.2 cm from the edge. Clip allowances, turn facing to the wrong side and press the neckline.
  6. Stitch the armhole in two steps: first the front armhole, then the back armhole.
  7. Stitch side seams of ruffles. Serge allowances. Serge lower edges with a narrow rolled hem. Place small ruffle on top of large ruffle, secure along the upper edge (side seams of ruffles should not match). Serge the upper edge. Place ruffle on the main garment right side down, lower edges pointing upwards.
  8. Topstitch the ruffle according to markings. At the armhole level, fold the upper ruffle down, topstitch the allowance to the lower ruffle.
  9. Press the bottom of the garment to the wrong side, fold and topstitch.
  10. Sew a button on the back.

TIP: The lower edge of the ruffles can be finished with bias binding.
