Hem: A straight, clean-finished bottom hem.
Intermediate. This pattern requires experience working with knit fabrics, includes handling delicate lace, forming gathers, and finishing a neckline with knit bias tape.
Achieve the perfect look and drape by selecting appropriate fabrics for each part of the garment:
Fabric recommendations: knit fabric with low to medium stretch from natural or blended fibers; guipure lace with elastane. ALSO NEEDED: knit bias tape.
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
ATTENTION! The neckline binding pattern piece is necessary to equalize the neckline length. Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is stitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
