CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Neckline hem allowance 1.5 cm, bottom hem and sleeve hem – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back part – 1 piece
    • Upper front part – 1 piece
    • Lower back part – 1 piece
    • Lower front part – 1 piece
    • Waistband – 1 piece

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. Hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the upper and lower parts of the front and back. Serge allowances and press upwards.
  2. Stitch shoulder seams. Serge allowances and press towards the back.
  3. Stitch side seams simultaneously with sleeve seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
  4. Serge neckline allowances, fold to the wrong side and topstitch.
  5. Serge bottom edge of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  6. Fold the waistband in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the contour, leaving an opening for turning. Trim allowances at corners, turn the waistband right side out, press, and close the opening.

TIP: The neckline can be finished with knit bias binding; for this, the neckline allowances need to be trimmed.
