Pattern #4781
Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; invisible zipper; 2 hook and eye closures.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the garment bottom – 2.0 cm, hem allowance for the sleeve bottom – 1.2 cm, other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:

    • Upper front - 1 piece on fold
    • Lower front - 1 piece on fold

  • From fusible interfacing:

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the collar stand.

  3. Finish the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark downwards, press allowances open. Insert the invisible zipper.
  4. Form pleats on the upper front. Stitch the upper and lower front pieces together, press allowances upwards and finish edges.
  5. Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and finish edges.
  6. Fold the collar stand piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short sides, inserting the hooks. Trim allowances at corners, turn the collar stand right side out, and press. Stitch the outer side of the collar stand to the neckline, press allowances towards the collar stand. Fold under the edge of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  7. Stitch the upper and lower sleeve pieces together, press allowances towards the upper piece and finish edges. Stitch the sleeve seams, press allowances open and finish edges. Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches.
  8. Press the garment hem twice to the wrong side by 1 cm and topstitch. Finish the sleeve hem, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
