Cutter's Must
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Attention! Markings on the patterns are on the right side!
- From main fabric:
- Upper back - 2 pieces
- Lower back - 2 pieces
- Right front - 1 piece
- Upper left front - 1 piece
- Lower left front - 1 piece
- Front pleat - 1 piece
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- On the back pieces, stitch the waist darts, press the seam allowances towards the center. Attach the lower back to the upper back, press the seam allowances upwards and overlock.
- Overlock the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark downwards, press the seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
- On the front pieces, stitch the bust darts, press the seam allowances upwards.
- Fold the front pleat piece lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the upper edge. Start stitching precisely at the marked pleat attachment seam. Turn the piece right side out, press. Attach the front pleat to the upper left front (the front edge is longer than the pleat by the neckline seam allowance width), press the seam allowances and overlock. Lay the pleat over the front and secure it along the lower edge. Attach the lower left front to the upper, press the seam allowances downwards and overlock.
- Fold the front piece along the marked pleat fold line, right sides together, and stitch the upper edge. Start stitching precisely at the marked center seam line. Clip the neckline seam allowance at the seam, turn the piece right side out, and press.
- Stitch the right and left front parts together, press the seam allowances and overlock. Form the pleats on the left front and topstitch along the upper edge.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Press the seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings, press the seam allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the facings right sides together with the garment and stitch the neckline edge. Clip the seam allowances at the curves, turn the facings to the wrong side and press. Secure the facings to the shoulder seams and the zipper tape.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press the seam allowances and overlock. Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching the notches. Press the seam allowances and overlock.
- Overlock the hem of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
