Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Seam allowance for the middle and lower edges of the flying – 1.5 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment – 1.5 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Flying – 1 piece
    • Back facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 1 piece
    • Flying facing – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Interface the facings with fusible interfacing.
  2. Press the lower seam allowance of the flying facing to the wrong side. Place the facing with the main piece right side to wrong side and stitch. Turn the facing to the right side and topstitch onto the flying along the fold.
  3. Overlock the middle and lower edges of the flying, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Place the flying onto the front, secure along the side edge.
  4. Overlock the left side edges separately. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press the allowances open, pressing the slit for the zipper. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
  5. Stitch the right side seam of the facings, press the allowances open. Overlock the lower edge. Place the facing with the skirt right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Topstitch the allowances onto the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the stitching seam. Turn the facings to the wrong side, press. Attach the allowances to the zipper tape.
  6. Overlock the lower edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  7. Attach the decorative buckle.
