A sophisticated women's sewing pattern for a fitted long-sleeve top, featuring a unique V-neck created by a gracefully wrapping shawl collar.
This elegant top is designed for versatile wear, making it an ideal choice for:
Silhouette: Fitted through the bodice with a straight, hip-length hem.
Neckline & Collar: Distinctive V-neck formed by a wide, shawl-style collar that gracefully crosses over at the front.
Closure: Two functional buttons securing the overlapping front collar.
Sleeves: Full-length, set-in sleeves for a comfortable fit.
Back: Clean, unadorned back panel, mirroring the simple elegance of the front.
Hem: Straight-cut hem for both the body and sleeves.
Intermediate. Involves accurate assembly of the unique collar design, working with knit fabrics, and setting sleeves.
To achieve the best drape and comfort for this garment, select knit fabrics with a medium stretch:
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: hem allowance, sleeve hem allowance – 1.5 cm, other seams 0.8 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
