CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 1.5 cm, other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • From main fabric:
    • Lower back part - 1 piece on fold
    • Front - 2 pieces
    • Placket – 2 pieces
    • Back yoke – 1 piece
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Collar – 2 pieces
    • Collar stand – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Interface the inner collar stand, collar, plackets, and cuffs with fusible interfacing.
  2. Mark and stitch bust darts on the front. Press bust darts upwards. Overlock the upper edge of the pocket. Fold the allowance inwards and topstitch. Fold pocket allowances inwards and press. Place pocket on the front and topstitch.
  3. Attach the yoke to the back. Overlock the allowance and press upwards. Stitch a decorative topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
  4. Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock. Stitch a decorative topstitch along the back yoke on the front.
  5. Attach the outer placket to the tunic, press allowances towards the placket. Fold the inner placket inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer placket attachment.
  6. Place the upper collar with the lower collar right sides together. Stitch the ends and outer edge of the collar. Trim seams. Turn the collar right side out, shape, and press. Stitch a decorative topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge. Place collar stand pieces right sides together, insert the finished collar between them, align notches, and stitch, simultaneously stitching the ends of the collar stand. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked seam line of the collar stand attachment. Turn the finished collar right side out and press. Attach the upper collar stand with the collar to the neckline, fold the open edge of the lower collar stand inwards and topstitch into the seam of the upper collar stand attachment.
  7. Fold the placket right side in and stitch along the long and one short side. Trim allowances, turn right side out, and press. Attach the placket to the inner part of the sleeve according to markings. Attach cuffs to the sleeve. Press allowance towards the cuff. Stitch the sleeve seam simultaneously with the cuff seam. Overlock the allowance and press towards the sleeve placket mark. Fold the cuff allowance inwards and topstitch into the cuff attachment seam. Stitch along the seam 0.5 cm from the seam. Set the sleeve into the armhole. Overlock the allowance.
  8. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
  9. Stitch decorative topstitches along the placket. Overlock buttonholes on the right placket, on the sleeve plackets, on the pockets. Sew buttons on the left placket, on the pockets, on the sleeves.
