Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers in two colors. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: a button.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; sleeve hem allowance - 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

Sewing Instructions

  1. Attach back yoke to back. Overcast seam allowance and press upwards.
  2. Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide and 5 cm long for the loop. Fold the strip in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim seam allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip right side out and straighten the rouleau. Adjust loop length.
  3. Make a slit on the back from the top to the mark. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the slit length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and press. Finish the back slit, inserting the loop.
  4. Attach front yoke to front. Overcast seam allowance and press upwards.
  5. Stitch shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  6. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and press. Finish the neckline edge.
  7. Clip side seam allowances at the mark. Stitch side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast. Fold the top edge of the facing inwards and topstitch. Place the facing on the front, right side to right side, and stitch the bottom edge. Trim seam allowances. Turn the facing to the wrong side. Fold the outer edge of the facing inwards and topstitch. Process the back similarly.
  8. Stitch sleeve seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast. Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches. Press seam allowances and overcast. Overcast the bottom edge of the sleeve, press allowance to the wrong side and topstitch.
  9. Sew on the button.
