CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 4 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Markings on the patterns are on the right side.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back panel – 1 piece on fold
    • Upper front panel – 1 piece on fold
    • Lower front panel – 1 piece
    • Back facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 1 piece
    • Belt loop – 1 piece
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
    • Back facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the facings of the upper edge.
  2. Stitch darts on the back and upper front panels, press seam allowances towards the center.
  3. Form and secure the pleat on the lower front panel. Stitch the upper and lower parts of the front panel, press seam allowances upwards and overcast.
  4. Overcast the left side edges separately. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper mark to the hem, press seam allowances open, pressing the opening for the zipper. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam, press seam allowances towards the back panel and overcast.
  5. Stitch the right side seam of the facings, press seam allowances open. Overcast the lower edge. Place the facing on the skirt right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Topstitch seam allowances to the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facings to the wrong side, press. Stitch the seam allowances to the zipper tape.
  6. Overcast the lower edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
  7. Fold the belt loop lengthwise in half, right sides together, align edges and stitch at a distance of 0.5-0.7 cm from the edges. Then turn right side out, straighten the seam, positioning it on the fold, and press. Cut belt loops to size and topstitch onto the darts according to the technical drawing.

TIP: The skirt is recommended to be worn with a decorative belt.
