Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! TIP: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

  1. Fuse the collar stand with knit interfacing.
  2. Stitch the center back seam, press seam allowances to the left and serge.
  3. Stitch the darts on the center front, press the fullness downwards.
  4. Attach pocket bags to the center and side front pieces, serge seam allowances. Attach the side front pieces to the center front, simultaneously stitching the pocket bags. On the side front piece, clip the seams at the pocket opening. Press seam allowances towards the center front, serge.
  5. Stitch shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  6. Press the collar stand lengthwise in half, right side out. Overlap the right end of the collar stand over the left and attach the collar stand to the neckline, press and serge seam allowances.
  7. Attach the sleeve to the garment, press seam allowances towards the sleeve and serge. Stitch a decorative/securing topstitch along the seam.
  8. Stitch the side seam simultaneously with the sleeve seam, press and serge seam allowances.
  9. Serge the hem allowance of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
