CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. Back Yoke – 1 QTY
  • 2. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 3. FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY
  • 4. Placket – 2 QTY
  • 5. SLEEVE - 2 QTY
  • 6. Collar Stand – 2 QTY
  • 7. Sleeve Tab – 2 QTY
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: placket, outer collar stand.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the plackets and outer collar stand with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Stitch the center back seam, press SEAM ALLOWANCES to the left and serge. Attach the yoke to the BACK PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards and serge.
  3. Stitch the darts on the FRONT PANEL, press depths upwards.
  4. Press the plackets in half lengthwise, right side out. Attach the plackets to the FRONT PANEL along the long edge, stopping 1 cm from the bottom. Clip the FRONT PANEL's SEAM ALLOWANCE at the corners, stopping 1 mm from the stitching. Turn the ends of the plackets inwards and stitch, securing the bottom edge. Serge the SEAM ALLOWANCES.
  5. Stitch the shoulder seams of the blouse, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
  6. Fold the collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer edge, starting and ending the stitching precisely at the collar attachment line. Turn the collar stand right side out, press.
  7. Attach the outer collar stand to the neckline, turn under the raw edge of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  8. Fold the tab right sides together and stitch the long and short sides. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners, turn right side out and press. Serge the buttonhole. Attach the tab to the wrong side of the SLEEVE according to markings. Sew a button to this spot on the right side.
  9. Set the SLEEVES into the open armholes. Serge the SEAM ALLOWANCES. Stitch the SLEEVE seams in one continuous seam with the side seam. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
  10. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Press the SLEEVE hem twice by 1 cm and topstitch.
