CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
  • 2. SIDE PANEL - 2 QTY
  • 3. Center FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
  • 4. Pocket LINING - 2 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Clip the FRONT PANEL SEAM ALLOWANCE near the pocket opening. Place the pocket LINING onto the FRONT PANEL and stitch along the pocket opening. Turn the LINING to the wrong side and press. Align and secure the LINING to the FRONT PANEL along the side and bottom edges. Then, treat as one piece.
  2. Stitch the center back seam of the BACK PANEL. Overcast the SEAM ALLOWANCE and press open.
  3. Stitch the left shoulder seam. Overcast the SEAM ALLOWANCE and press towards the BACK PANEL. Cut a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 6 cm. Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the TRIM STRIP along the neckline edge on the right side, extending the ends, and stitch. Fold the TRIM STRIP to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam. Stitch the left shoulder seam. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCE towards the BACK PANEL, overcast.
  4. Cut a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length of the SIDE PANEL + 6 cm. Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the TRIM STRIP along the armhole edge on the right side, extending the ends, and stitch. Fold the TRIM STRIP to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold to the main piece.
  5. Clip the dart on the BACK PANEL 2 cm between the lines. Overcast, fold inwards, and topstitch the lower edge of the SLEEVE. Stitch the contoured seam of the BACK PANEL: fold the BACK PANEL SLEEVE to the right side, aligning the dart sides; align the contoured edges and stitch, gradually tapering the stitching to nothing after the cross mark, press and overcast the SEAM ALLOWANCES. Similarly, finish the contoured seam of the FRONT PANEL, attaching the pocket LINING to the SIDE PANEL at the bottom.
  6. Overcast the bottom edge of the tunic, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
