CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. Center BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 2. Side BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 3. Side FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 4. Center FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 5. Undercollar — 2 QTY
  • 6. Back neckline FACING – 1 QTY
  • 7. Upper SLEEVE – 2 QTY
  • 8. Lower SLEEVE – 2 QTY
  • 9. Pocket — 2 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the details. Along the back neckline, apply an additional FUSIBLE INTERFACING strip.
  2. Stitch the princess seam on the FRONT PANEL. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the center. Bind the upper edge of the pocket with a TRIM STRIP. Mark the pocket placement and topstitch onto the FRONT PANEL.
  3. Stitch the dart on the center BACK PANEL. Stitch, press open, and overlock the princess seams on the BACK PANEL. Stitch and overlock the center back seam. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES to the left side. Stitch the COLLAR seam. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Stitch and press open the shoulder and side seams of the jacket. Clip the shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES on the FRONT PANEL and set the COLLAR into the back neckline. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
  4. Stitch and press open the shoulder edges of the back neckline FACING and undercollar. Stitch the COLLAR edge on the undercollar. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Clip the corner on the undercollar and set the COLLAR into the back neckline. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Overlock the outer edges.
  5. Fold the jacket and undercollar with wrong sides together, pin, aligning the outer edges. Bind the front edge, COLLAR, and bottom of the jacket with a TRIM STRIP.
  6. Stitch and press open the elbow seam of the SLEEVE. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the upper part. Stitch the front edge. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the upper SLEEVE. Bind the lower edge with a TRIM STRIP.
  7. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes according to the NOTCHES, easing the SLEEVE cap at the upper part. Attach shoulder pads.
  8. On the right FRONT PANEL, overlock buttonholes; on the left FRONT PANEL, sew on buttons.
