Tech. Description

Stand Collar Long Sleeve Dress with Wrapped Waist

Introducing a women's sewing pattern for a sleek long-sleeve dress, distinguished by its elegant stand collar and two crossed, pleated waist bands over a softly pleated skirt front.

When To Wear

This dress is perfectly suited for a range of sophisticated occasions, including:

  • Professional Settings: Ideal for office wear, business meetings, or corporate events.
  • Elegant Evenings: Perfect for sophisticated dinners, cocktail parties, or cultural events.
  • Special Occasions: a refined choice for celebrations, semi-formal gatherings, or stylish day events.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a tailored silhouette, fitted through the bodice and waist, with a straight skirt gently skimming the body.

Neckline & Collar: Features an elegant stand collar that frames the neck.

Front: darts shape the upper front; soft pleats on the lower front fall from the waist seam.

Waist: two pleated, lined middle front bands cross over each other on the front and are caught into the side seams, creating a wrapped effect.

Back: a center back seam with an invisible zipper, a horizontal seam above the waist joining the upper and lower back, and shaping darts on both parts.

Sleeves: long set-in sleeves.

Closure: invisible zipper at the center back, up to the top of the stand collar.

Hem: Finishes at knee-length with a clean, straight hem.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires skills in handling delicate fabrics, inserting a concealed zipper, constructing a stand collar, and managing pleats.
