Cutter's Must
- From main fabric:
- 1. Upper center back - qty 2
- 2. Upper side of back — qty 2
- 3. Lower back - qty 2
- 4. Center upper front – qty 2
- 5. Upper side of front — qty 2
- 6. Front insert — qty 1
- 7. Lower front — qty 1 on fold
- 8. Sleeve - qty 2
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch darts on back pieces. Press seam allowances towards the center. Attach side panels, serge seam allowances and press towards the center back. Attach the lower. Serge seam allowance and press upwards. Serge the center edges of the back separately. Stitch the center edge from the zipper mark downwards. Insert the zipper.
- Cut (if not pre-made) bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the length of the back neckline + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the trim strip with the neckline edge on the right side and stitch. Clip the seam allowances. Fold the trim strip to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
- Fold the front insert along the line in half, right side in, and serge the lower edges. Fold the front pieces right sides together and stitch the neckline. Clip the seam allowances, turn the inner out, and press. Place the insert under the neckline and topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge.
- Stitch the shoulder seam, inserting the back seam allowance between the front pieces. Serge the seam allowance and press towards the back. Stitch the relief seam of the front (the center pieces are processed together). Attach the lower front. Serge the seam allowance and press upwards.
- Stitch the side seams. Serge the seam allowances and press towards the back.
- Serge the lower edge of the sleeve. Fold the seam allowance inwards and topstitch. Set the sleeves into the armholes. Cut (if not pre-made) bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the length of the lower armhole + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the trim strip with the armhole edge on the right side and stitch. Clip the seam allowances. Fold the trim strip to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
- Serge the lower edge of the dress, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
