Cutter's Must

  • From main fabric:
    1. Back - 1 piece on fold
    2. Front - 1 piece on fold
    3. Sleeve – 2 pieces
    4. Collar – 2 pieces
    5. Bow — 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    1. Collar – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse fusible interfacing to the collar piece.
  2. Place collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Start and end stitching strictly at the marked seam line for attaching. Clip seam allowances at curves. Turn the finished collar right side out and press.
  3. Stitch the waist, shoulder, and bust darts on the back and front. Press the depths of the shoulder and waist darts towards the center back, and the depths of the bust darts upwards.
  4. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  5. Attach the upper collar to the neckline, turn under the raw edge of the lower collar and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  6. Serge the lower edge of the sleeve, fold inwards and topstitch. Stitch the sleeve seam, press, serge. Set the sleeves into the armholes. Press and serge seam allowances.
  7. Fold the bottom edge of the garment twice to the wrong side by 1 cm and topstitch.
  8. Fold the bow piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along three sides, leaving an opening for turning. Trim seam allowances and turn right side out. Close the opening with slip stitches. Form the bow and topstitch onto the blouse according to the technical drawing sketch.
