Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the facings with fusible interfacing.
- Form and secure the pleats on the front neckline (depths directed from the center).
- Stitch the center back seam allowances from the notch to the bottom edge, press seam allowances open and overlock.
- Stitch the shoulder seam allowances, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Cut a bias binding strip 3 cm wide and 7 cm long. Fold the strip in half lengthwise and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim the seam allowances and turn the piece right side out. Adjust the loop length.
- Stitch the center back seam allowances of the neck facings from the notch to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Stitch the shoulder seam allowances of the neck facings, press seam allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the facing and the garment right sides together and stitch the slit and neckline edge, inserting the hanging loop. Trim seam allowances at corners, turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Sew on the button.
- Set the sleeve into the open armhole. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the sleeve.
- Stitch the side seam allowances simultaneously with the sleeve seam allowances. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment and the sleeve hem, fold the seam allowances inwards and topstitch, forming a casing. Insert elastic into the casing and secure the ends.
