Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the princess seams on the back and front pieces. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center of the pieces.
- Overlock the center back seam separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark downwards. Press open the seam allowances, pressing the slit. Insert the zipper. Attach the back yoke to the back. Press the seam allowance upwards. The center edge of the yoke extends by 1 cm!
- Along the upper edge of the center front, stitch with a loosely tensioned upper thread and gather. Attach the yoke to the front. Press the seam allowance upwards.
- Stitch the shoulder seams simultaneously with the stand edge. Press open the seam allowance.
- Process the trim strip for the loop closures. Cut into 5 pieces.
- Stitch the shoulder seams simultaneously with the stand edge on the inner yokes. Press open the seam allowances. Overlock the lower edges of the yokes. Place the outer and inner yokes right sides together and stitch the neckline. Stitch the center back seam, inserting the loop closures. Clip the seam allowance. Turn the inner yokes to the wrong side and press the neckline. Secure the yokes together along the armhole edge (then treat as one piece). Attach the inner yokes into the seam of the outer yokes.
- Stitch the side seams. Overlock the seam allowances and press towards the back.
- Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the back. Set the sleeve into the armhole. Overlock the seam allowance.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the dress and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Sew on buttons.
