Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to relevant pieces, as well as the pocket opening seam allowances.
- On the back, stitch darts. Press dart folds towards the center. On the back, stitch princess seams. Press seam allowances open. Stitch the center back seam. Press seam allowances open.
- Attach pocket bag to the center front PANELs and side front PANELs accordingly. On the front, stitch princess seams, simultaneously stitching the pocket bag. Press seam allowances open, clipping the corner on the side front. Press pocket towards the center.
- Stitch and press open the side and shoulder seams of the jacket.
- Stitch the elbow seam of the sleeve. Press seam allowances open. Stitch the front seam of the sleeve. Set in sleeves into the jacket. Attach shoulder pads.
- Attach the outer collar stand to the neckline. Clip and press seam allowances open.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings and facing. Press seam allowances open. Attach the inner collar stand to the neckline. Clip and press seam allowances open. On the lining fabric pieces, stitch seams, leaving an opening in the left side seam. Set in sleeves.
- Place the facing on the right side of the front, right side down, and stitch along the front edge, simultaneously stitching the collar. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked hemline. Turn pieces right side out and press. Secure the neckline and collar stand seam allowances. Attach the lining to the facings and facing. Attach the lower edge of the lining to the lower edge. Attach the lining to the bottom of the sleeve.
- Make buttonholes and sew on buttons. Attach a decorative embellishment to the collar.
