Sewing Instructions

Fuse interfacing to the Back Neckline Facing and Front Neckline Facing pieces.
Stitch the darts on the Upper Back pieces, trim the dart depths to 1 cm and press towards the center. On the Lower Back pieces, fold and secure the inverted pleats. Stitch the Upper Back to the Lower Back pieces, press the seam allowances upwards and serge.
Serge the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the hem, press the seam allowances open. Insert the invisible zipper.
Stitch the darts on the Upper Front, trim the dart depths to 1 cm and press towards the center. On the Lower Front, fold and secure the inverted pleats. Stitch the Lower Front to the Upper Front, press the seam allowances upwards and serge.
Stitch side and shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
Stitch shoulder and side seams of the facings. Press seam allowances open. Serge the center back edges and the outer edge of the facing. Place the dress and facing right sides together and stitch the neckline. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn the facing out, straighten and press. Stitch the armhole in two steps: first the back, then the front. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn out, press. Secure the facing to the garment at the side seam allowances. Attach the facing to the zipper tape.
Serge the bottom edge of the dress, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
Fold the Waistband (belt) in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch, leaving a small opening for turning. Trim seam allowances at corners, turn the belt right side out and press. Sew the opening closed. Thread the belt through the buckle and secure.
