Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to the back and front facings.
- Stitch the princess seams of the back. Press seam allowances towards the center. On both back pieces, fuse the vent from the wrong side. On the right side, mark the center seam line (vent fold line). Overlock the center seam allowance simultaneously with the vent edge. Stitch the center seam of the back from the zipper mark to the vent corner. Clip the vent seam allowance corner. Press the center seam allowance and vent to the left side. Press the right side of the vent 1 cm to the wrong side and topstitch. Topstitch the vent seam allowances along the top with a machine stitch. Insert the zipper.
- Attach the front insert to the lower front. Overlock the seam allowance and press upwards. Attach the upper front to the insert. Overlock the seam allowance and press onto the insert. Attach the front side. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the center.
- Stitch the shoulder seams and side seams, overlock the seam allowances and press towards the back.
- On the upper sleeve, between the notches, stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Stitch the upper and lower sleeve parts. Overlock the seam allowance. Overlock the hem allowance, fold inwards and topstitch. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the back. Set the sleeve into the armhole. Overlock the seam allowance.
- Form two inverted pleats on the front neckline and secure along the upper edge.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings. Press seam allowances open. Overlock the outer edge of the facings. Place the facing onto the neckline and stitch. Clip the seam allowances, turn the facing out and press. Secure the facing to the shoulder seams and the zipper tape.
- Overlock the dress hem allowance, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
