- Front Yoke - 4 qty
- Back Yoke – 4 qty
- From fusible interfacing: back and front yokes.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the upper yokes with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the waist darts on the back. Press the dart depths towards the center.
- Serge the center edges of the back separately on each piece. Stitch the center edge of the back from the zipper mark to the hem, press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper. Serge the upper edge of the back, fold inwards and topstitch.
- Serge the upper and lower edges of the left front. Fold the upper edge inwards and topstitch. Form the pleat, aligning the straight notches. Direct the pleat depth downwards.
- Serge the upper edge of the front. Fold the seam allowance inwards and topstitch. Form the pleats on the front, starting from the bottom. Direct the depths downwards. Overlap the front onto the left front and secure along the side edges.
- Stitch and press open the shoulder edges of the upper yokes. Attach the upper yokes to the front and back. Press seam allowances towards the yokes.
- Stitch and press open the shoulder edges of the lower yokes. Finish the neckline with the yokes. Clip the seam allowances, turn the yokes to the wrong side and press. Finish the armhole in two steps: first the front armhole, then the back armhole. Clip and press the seam allowances. Stitch the side edges simultaneously with the yoke edge. Serge the seam allowances only on the main back and front pieces. Fold the yoke seam allowances inwards and topstitch into the attaching seam.
- Serge the hem seam allowance of the dress, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
