- Front neckline facing - 1 qty
- Back neckline facing – 2 qty
- From lace fabric:
- Front yoke - 1 qty
- From fusible interfacing: back neckline facing, front neckline facing.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch the waist and shoulder darts on the back. Press the dart fullness towards the center.
- Serge the center edges of the back separately on each piece. Stitch the center edge of the back from the zipper mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
- Fold and stitch the inverted pleat on the front piece up to the mark. Attach the front yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
- Stitch the side and shoulder edges, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch the shoulder edges of the facings, press seam allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the dress and facing right sides together, aligning the neckline edges. Fold back the facing 5 mm from the edges of the concealed fastener and pin to the upper edge of the dress. On the right side of the dress, fold back the seam allowances along the zipper and pin to the neckline edge over the facing. Stitch the neckline edge, clip the seam allowances at curves, turn the pieces right side out and press. Secure the facing to the zipper tape and to the shoulder seams.
- Stitch the sleeve edge, press seam allowances and serge. Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching the notches. Press seam allowances and serge. Serge the lower edge of the sleeve, press the seam allowance to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Serge the hem allowance of the dress, press to the wrong side and hand stitch with blind stitches.
