Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the cuffs with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the shoulder seams on the outer and inner yokes. Press seam allowances open. Fold the yokes right sides together and stitch the neckline. Clip seam allowances, turn pieces right side out, and press. Then treat the yokes as single-layer pieces.
- Along the upper edge of the front skirt half, between the notches, stitch with a loosely tensioned thread and gather. Attach the front skirt half to the front yoke. Overlock seam allowances and press upwards.
- Along the upper edge of the back skirt half, between the notches, stitch with a loosely tensioned thread and gather. Attach the back skirt half to the back yoke. Overlock seam allowances and press upwards.
- Make a slit on the sleeve along the marked line. Cut a bias binding from the main fabric, 4 cm wide and with a length equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise and press. Press the outer seam allowances towards the center. Finish the sleeve slit with the bias binding.
- Set the sleeve into the open armhole. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the sleeve.
- Stitch the side seam simultaneously with the sleeve seam. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the back.
- Along the lower edge of the sleeve, stitch with a loosely tensioned thread and gather.
- Fold the cuff in half, right sides together, and stitch the short sides and the step. Begin stitching strictly at the marked line for attaching the cuff to the sleeve. At the notch, clip the seam allowances, turn the cuff right side out, and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the bottom of the sleeve. Turn under the inner side of the cuff and topstitch into the attaching seam.
- Fold the bottom edge of the garment twice to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Overlock buttonholes on the cuffs. Sew on buttons. The blouse is recommended to be worn with a belt.
