Cutter's Must
- From main fabric:
- Back – 2 pieces
- Inner front – 1 piece
- Upper front – 2 pieces
- Lower front — 1 piece
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
Sewing Instructions
- Overlock the section of the center seam of the right, starting from the neckline and ending 2-3 cm below the mark. Press the seam allowance inwards. Fold the back pieces, aligning the raw edges between the bottom line and the marks for the fastener. Fold back the overlocked section of the right back. Overlock the upper section of the center seam of the left back, simultaneously stitching and overlocking the center seam of the back.
- Stitch the darts on the inner front. Trim the depths with an overlocker. Overlock the armhole section from the mark to the neckline.
- Overlock the bias cut of the upper front, fold and topstitch. Along the neckline edges of the upper front, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Overlap the upper front pieces onto the inner front, as shown in the figure. Secure the pieces together, aligning the notches.
- Stitch the upper and lower back PANELs. Overlock the seam and press downwards.
- Stitch the shoulder seams. Overlock the seam and press towards the back.
- Set in the sleeves into the open armhole, aligning the notches. Overlock the seams and press.
- Stitch the side seams simultaneously with the sleeve seam. Overlock the seam allowances.
- Cut a trim strip 4 cm wide, with a length equal to the neckline length + 5 cm. Fold the trim strip in half right side out and press. Place the trim strip on the wrong side of the neckline and stitch. Turn to the right side and topstitch, slightly stretching the fold of the trim strip. Trim the ends of the trim strip. Place a bar tack on the neckline at the level of the center back seam.
- Topstitch the seam allowances of the center back seam along the slit at 0.1 cm.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, the bottom edge of the sleeve. Fold to the wrong side, press and topstitch.
- Process the loop. Sew the loop to the left side of the slit. Sew a button on the right side.
