Fabric recommendations: Medium-stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers.
CUTTER'S MUST
If the patterns have a double contour, they include SEAM ALLOWANCES. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve hem – 1.5 cm, other seams 0.7 cm. ATTENTION! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need.
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Collar – 1 piece
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the NOTCHES - they must match!
- Stitch the darts on the front, press the fullness upwards.
- Along the front neckline, create soft pleats according to the markings. The fullness should be directed towards the side seam. Secure the pleats.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the back and front. Press the seams towards the back.
- Stitch the collar into a loop, press the allowances. Attach the inner edge of the collar to the neckline, aligning the notches and stretching the collar edge. The collar seam is located at the left shoulder seam. Press the collar attachment seam.
- Set the sleeves into the open armhole, aligning the notches. Press the allowances.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, simultaneously stitching the side seam. Press the allowances.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, the sleeve hem, and the outer edge of the collar. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
