Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: Medium-stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance, sleeve hem, and neckline edge – 1.5 cm, other seams 0.7 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. On the front, mark and stitch the darts. Trim the bulk with an overlock machine. Stitch the center back seam. Press the seam.
  2. On the sleeve, create soft pleats according to the markings. The pleat depths should be directed downwards. Secure the pleats along the armhole. Overlock the lower sleeve allowance, fold inwards, and topstitch. Clip the armhole allowance of the back and front near the mark. Attach the sleeves to the back and front. Press the seam towards the back and front.
  3. Stitch the side seams, overlock, and press towards the back.
  4. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, the neckline edge, and the lower armhole edge. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
