Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, patterns are without seam allowances. Seam allowances: hem allowance – 3 cm. All other seams 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 2 pieces
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Sleeve — 2 pieces
  • From rib knit fabric:
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Collar – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

  2. Stitch the waist darts on the back and front.
  3. Stitch the shoulder seams, press allowances to the back and serge.
  4. Stitch the collar into a loop, press allowances open. Fold the collar in half lengthwise and attach to the neckline, stretching it slightly. Press allowances towards the main piece and serge.
  5. Along the sleeve cap, create and secure inverted pleats.
  6. Set the sleeves into the open armholes, press allowances and serge.
  7. Stitch the side seams simultaneously with the sleeve seam. Serge allowances and press towards the back.
  8. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press allowances open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise and attach to the bottom of the sleeve, stretching it slightly. Press allowances towards the sleeve and serge.
  9. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
