- Front tab (marked on pattern as Permychka) – 1 piece
From Fusible Interfacing:
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
First of all, print the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width may be from 90 cm to 150 cm) in order to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to consider paired and symmetrical pieces).
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches – they must match.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
- Fuse interfacing to the pieces.
- Stitch darts on the back pieces. Press dart allowances towards the center. Serge the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Insert the invisible zipper.
- Stitch bust darts. Press dart allowances upwards.
- Clip the allowance at the neckline mark of the detached pieces. Fold the detachable pieces right sides together and stitch the upper edge from the neckline mark and the lower edge. Clip allowances, trim corners, turn pieces right side out and press. Place the detachable piece on the right front piece, right sides up, and secure along the side edges, armhole edge, shoulder, and neckline.
- Fold the Front tab (Pemychka) in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the side edge. Turn it right side out and press. Serge the lower edge. Place the tab on the front piece, aligning the marked lines, and stitch. Turn the tab upwards and secure the neckline allowances.
- Stitch shoulder and side seams. Serge allowances and press towards the back.
- Stitch shoulder seams of the neckline facings, press allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the facing on the garment, right side down, and stitch the neckline edge. Clip allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press. Secure the facing to the main garment at the shoulder seams and zipper tape.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Along the sleeve cap, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch pleats on the sleeve. Set sleeves into armholes according to notches, press allowances and serge.
- Serge the hem allowance of the bottom and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Thread the detached piece through the strap and arrange the folds.
