This dress is designed for comfort and style, making it an excellent choice for:
Silhouette: Relaxed a-line silhouette, gracefully flowing from the bust to the hem.
Neckline: Classic round neck for a comfortable and universally flattering fit.
Sleeves: Set-in short sleeves, offering practical coverage and ease of movement.
Waist: Defined by an attached self-fabric tie belt, allowing for adjustable cinching to flatter the figure.
Length: Maxi length, providing elegant coverage.
Hem: Straight hemline with functional side slits, enhancing movement and adding a subtle design detail.
Back: Clean, unadorned back panel, maintaining the dress's simple elegance.
Closure: Pullover style for effortless wear, with no visible fastenings.
Intermediate. Requires confident skills in working with knit fabrics, constructing a clean neckband, creating and attaching bias-cut ties, and finishing side slits.
For the best drape and comfort, choose soft knit fabrics with medium stretch:
No additional notions are required.
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns are without seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams - 1.0 cm; hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve - 2 cm. Allowance along the side slits of the back and front - 2.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
