CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Front yoke – 1 piece
- Back yoke – 1 piece
- Front middle part – 1 piece with fold
- Back middle part – 1 piece with fold
- Lower skirt part – 2 pieces with fold
- Back facing – 1 piece
- Front facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back facing – 1 piece
- Front facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce facings with fusible interfacing.
- Fold and stitch the box pleat on the front yoke. Press the pleat.
- Along the upper edge of the front middle part, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the yoke and the middle part. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards. Along the upper edge of the lower skirt part, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the lower part to the front. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards.
- Along the upper edge of the back middle part, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the back yoke and the middle part. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards. Along the upper edge of the lower skirt part, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the lower part to the back. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards.
- Overlock the left side seams separately. Stitch the seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press seam allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
- Stitch and overlock the right side seam, press seam allowances towards the back.
- Stitch the right side seam of the facings, press seam allowances open. Overlock the lower edge. Place the facing on the skirt right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Topstitch the seam allowances to the facing 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facing to the wrong side, press. Secure the facing to the zipper tape and the right side seam.
- Overlock the lower edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Sew buttons onto the front yoke.
