Introducing a women's sewing pattern for an elegant long-sleeve top, distinguished by its artful asymmetric front drape and modern, irregular hemline.
This versatile top offers a blend of sophistication and modern style, making it perfect for:
Silhouette: a sleek, fitted long-sleeve top designed to flatter the figure.
Neckline: Features a high neckline with a continuous, integrated drape.
Draping: An elegant asymmetric drape extends from the right shoulder across the front bodice, creating visual interest and softness.
Sleeves: Classic long, set-in sleeves provide full arm coverage.
Hem: a distinctive asymmetric hemline, artfully dipping lower on the left side, adds a modern edge.
Back: a clean, smooth back panel maintains a refined and streamlined appearance.
Intermediate. Requires skills in handling knit fabrics, assembling draped and asymmetric components, and setting sleeves.
Select soft knit fabrics with a medium stretch to best achieve the intended drape and fit:
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams - 1.0 cm; hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve - 1.5 cm. Allowance along the outer edge of the flying front - 1.5 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Attention! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side!
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
