Tech. Description

Collared Tie-Neck Blouse

Introducing a sophisticated women's blouse pattern featuring a relaxed silhouette, a unique V-neck formed by extended lapels that elegantly tie at the front, and short cut-on sleeves finished with cuffs.

When To Wear

This blouse is a versatile choice for various settings, offering both comfort and refinement, making it ideal for:

  • Office & Business Casual: The collared and tie-neck design offers a professional yet stylish look suitable for the workplace.
  • Smart Casual Gatherings: Pairs beautifully with tailored trousers or skirts for elevated everyday wear or social occasions.
  • Transitional Styling: Easily worn on its own during warmer months or layered under blazers for cooler weather, adapting seamlessly to different seasons.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a relaxed fit through the body ensures comfort and a flattering drape, designed to fall gracefully at hip length.

Neckline & Collar: Features a sharp V-neckline framed by pointed lapels that extend downwards, forming a graceful tie detail at the center front. The tie ends are threaded through a small strap stitched to the front.

Closure: Designed as a pullover style, with no visible front closure, allowing the tie to be the focal point of the garment.

Sleeves: Short sleeves cut in one with the body, finished with a turned-up cuff stitched to the armhole edge, adding a relaxed yet polished aesthetic to the overall design.

Back: a clean, unadorned back panel provides a smooth and elegant profile, complementing the intricate front detailing.

Hem: Features a straight hemline for a neat and classic finish.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires confident sewing skills, including precise collar and lapel construction, creating the tie detail, and accurately attaching the cuffs and facings.

Fabric Recommendations

Choose light to medium-weight blouse fabrics with good drape for an elegant finish:

  • Blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers

Additional Supplies

  • Fusible interfacing

Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seam allowances – 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment – 2.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
