CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve hem - 3 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Belt – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on back pieces, press allowances towards the center. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left side, serge.
  3. Stitch darts on front pieces, trim dart allowances, press towards the center and serge.
  4. Fold belt pieces lengthwise in half, right sides together, and stitch along the short and long sides.
  5. Stitch shoulder and side seams, inserting one part of the belt into the left side seam. Press allowances towards the back, serge.
  6. Stitch and press open shoulder seams of the back neckline facing and front facings. Serge the outer edge. Place front facings with facing on the right side of the front, right side down, and stitch the front edges and neckline, inserting the right part of the belt. Clip allowances at curves, turn facings to the right side, straighten, press. Topstitch front facings and facing to the main garment.
  7. Stitch sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Set sleeves into armholes according to notches, press allowances and serge.
  8. Press the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve hem to the wrong side by 1 cm, then by another 2 cm, and topstitch.
  9. On the left front, make a buttonhole, on the wrong side of the right front, sew a hidden button.
