FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS

Choose fabrics that support soft drape and light structure: Blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers.

Suitable choices include:

From Main Fabric:

1. Back – 1 piece on fold
2. Front – 2 pieces
3. Sleeve – 2 pieces
4. Cuff – 2 pieces
5. Center Front Facing – 2 pieces
6. Back Neckline Facing – 1 piece

From Fusible Interfacing:

1. Cuff – 2 pieces
2. Center Front Facing – 2 pieces
3. Back Neckline Facing – 1 piece

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Before cutting your fabric, print and lay out the paper patterns according to your fabric width (90–150 cm) to determine required yardage.

Remember to account for paired and symmetrical pieces.

When sewing, pay close attention to all notches — they must match precisely to ensure correct construction and fit.

Accurate pressing of the shoulder pleats and cuffs is essential for achieving the intended silhouette and professional finish.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Interfacing

Apply fusible interfacing to the required pieces.

2. Shoulder Seams

Form and secure the pleats on the shoulder edges of the Front (the pleat intake is directed away from the center).

Stitch the shoulder seams, press the seam allowances toward the Back, and overlock.

3. Collar Stand

Stitch the seam of the collar stand, press the seam allowances open.

Attach the collar stand to the neckline, clipping at the corners, and press the seam allowances toward the stand.

4. Facing and Collar Stand Finish

Stitch the seam of the stand on the Center Front Facing, press the seam allowances open.

Stitch the shoulder seams of the Back Neckline Facing and Center Front Facing, press the seam allowances open.

Overlock the outer edge.

Attach the stand to the neckline of the facings, press the seam allowances upward.

Place the Center Front Facing and the garment right sides together and stitch the front edges and stand.

Clip seam allowances at the curves, turn the facings and neckline facing to the wrong side and press.

Secure the collar stand attachment seams together.

Secure the shoulder seams of the facings to the shoulder seams of the garment.

5. Side Seams

Stitch the side seams, press the seam allowances toward the Back, and overlock.

6. Sleeves

Overlock the sleeve edges separately.

Stitch the sleeve seam from the armhole to the slit marking, press the seam allowances open.

Topstitch the slit at 0.1 cm from the fold.

Sew a gathering stitch along the lower edge of the sleeve and gather.

Set the sleeves into the armholes, press the seam allowances and overlock.

7. Cuffs

Fold the Cuff pieces lengthwise at the center, right sides together, and stitch the side edges.

Begin and end stitching exactly at the marked cuff attachment line.

Turn right side out and press.

Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve, turn the seam allowance of the inner side inward and topstitch in the seam of attachment of the outer cuff.

8. Hem

Press the lower edge of the garment to the wrong side by 1 cm, then by 1.5 cm, and topstitch.

9. Closures

Work buttonholes on the right Front, sew buttons onto the left Front.

Work buttonholes and sew buttons on the cuffs.
