Key Design Features

Silhouette: a relaxed and straight-fitting pullover style, designed for comfort and ease of wear.

Closure: Pullover design with no additional closures, enhancing its casual appeal and ease of dressing.

Sleeves: Short, wide cut-on sleeves (cut in one with the front and back), finished with a folded band cuff stitched to the sleeve edge.

Back: a clean, unadorned back panel maintaining the garment's relaxed and flowing silhouette.

Hem: Straight hemline, designed to fall comfortably at the hip for a balanced look.

Fabric Recommendations

Choose fabrics that offer a comfortable drape and breathability:

  • Blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers

Additional Supplies

  • Fusible interfacing

Cutter's Must

Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Placket – 4 pieces
    • Back Neckline Facing – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Placket – 2 pieces
    • Back Neckline Facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Fold plackets in pairs right sides together and stitch the outer edge. Trim seam allowances at corners, turn plackets right side out, straighten and press. Attach plackets to the front along the long edge, stopping 1 cm from the bottom. Clip the front's seam allowance at the corners, stopping 1 mm from the stitching. Overlap the right placket over the left. Stitch the ends of the plackets, folding back the front and securing the bottom edge. Overlock seam allowances.
  3. Overlock the outer edge of the back neckline facing. Place the neckline facing on the back and stitch the neckline edge precisely up to the marked shoulder seam line. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams, inserting the front between the back and the facing, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
  5. Stitch side seams, press seam allowances towards the back, overlock.
  6. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press seam allowances open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise right side out and press. Stitch the outer layer of the cuff to the sleeve edge (armhole), fold under the seam allowance of the inner layer and stitch in the ditch of the cuff seam from the right side.
  7. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press towards the wrong side and topstitch.
