Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Attention! Markings on patterns are made on the right side.
- Stitch the shoulder seam of the flounces. Overcast the allowance and press it towards the back. Overcast the outer edge, fold it inwards and topstitch. You can also bind the flounce with bias tape; for this, you need to trim the outer allowance.
- Stitch the darts on the front. Press the dart folds upwards.
- Stitch and overcast the shoulder and side seams. Press the allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Place the flounce on the front, right sides together. Align the vertical marking with the straight edge of the front flounce. Topstitch the front flounce to the front. Turn the flounce to the left side, secure the neckline and flounce allowances. Secure the back flounce allowance and the center allowance of the left back. Overcast the center edges of the back separately. Insert the zipper. The slider of the closed zipper should be at the bottom.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings. Press the allowances open. Overcast the outer edge. Place the facings on the main garment, right side down, and stitch the neckline allowance. Clip the allowances, turn the facings to the wrong side and secure with the shoulder seams and the zipper tape.
- Cut (if not ready-made) bias tape 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4 cm. Fold the bias tape in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the bias tape along the armhole edge on the right side and stitch. Fold the bias tape to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Overcast the hem allowance, press it to the wrong side and topstitch.
