CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for the dress bottom – 1.2 cm; allowance along the edge of the right and left front ruffle placket – 6.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ATTENTION! ALL INSCRIPTIONS ON THE PATTERNS ARE MADE ON THE FACE SIDE!

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch the yoke to the back, press seam allowances upwards and overcast. Along the upper edge of the back ruffle, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the ruffle to the back, press seam allowances upwards and overcast.
  3. Overcast the outer edges of the front facings. Place the front facings on the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline and front edge. Clip seam allowances, turn the front facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Then treat as one piece with the front.
  4. Left front. Overcast the edge of the self-faced left front ruffle placket. Along the upper edge of the left front ruffle from the placket edge to the side seam, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the ruffle to the front, placing the ruffle between the front and the facing, press seam allowances upwards and overcast. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press.
  5. Right front. Overcast the edge of the self-faced right front ruffle placket. Along the upper edge of the right front ruffle from the placket edge to the princess seam, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the ruffle to the front, placing the ruffle between the front and the facing, press seam allowances upwards and overcast. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Stitch the princess seam, clipping the front at the corner, press seam allowances towards the center, and overcast.
  6. Overcast the outer edge of the back neckline facing. Place the neckline facing on the back and stitch the neckline edge exactly up to the marked shoulder seam line. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press.
  7. Stitch the shoulder seams, inserting the front between the back and the facing, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  8. Stitch the side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  9. Overcast the hem allowance of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  10. Make buttonholes on the right front. Sew buttons to the left front.
  11. Fold the belt in half lengthwise right sides together and stitch, inserting hooks into one of the short ends and leaving an opening on the long side for turning. Turn the belt right side out, straighten, and press. Close the opening. Adjust the belt length and sew loops for the hooks.
