CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance for the garment and sleeve hem – 1.5 cm, other seams 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Front Yoke – 2 pieces

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left side and overcast.
  2. Stitch the center front seam up to the beginning of the collar, clip allowances, press to the left side and overcast.
  3. Attach the yoke to the front, press allowances downwards and overcast.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  5. Overlap the collar as shown in the illustration and stitch the center edge, press allowances open. Fold the collar in half lengthwise and set into the neckline. Press allowances and overcast. Attention! The distance between the two closest marks is not stitched. This section is necessary for the overlap.
  6. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overcast. Stitch side seam and sleeve seam in one continuous seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  7. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment and the bottom edge of the sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
