Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: Blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: Separating zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: All seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece on fold
    • Front yoke – 4 pieces
    • Front – 1 piece on fold

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch darts on the back. Press the dart folds towards the center.
  2. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the back neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the neckline edge, right sides together, and stitch. Clip the seam allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
  3. Stitch the right side seam. Overlock the allowance and press towards the back. Overlock the allowances of the left side seam separately. Insert the separating zipper.
  4. Finish the right armhole of the blouse and the left parts of the front and back armholes: Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the armhole edge, right sides together, and stitch. Clip the seam allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
  5. Cut a bias binding for the front slit, length equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm and width 5 cm. Press the binding in half lengthwise, right side out. Mark the slit line on the front, cut it. Lay the front flat along the slit line, place the binding on the right side, aligning the edges, and stitch. The seam allowance along the slit length is 0.5 – 0.7 cm, decreasing to 0.2 cm at the bottom of the slit. Fold the binding to the wrong side, enclosing the seam, and topstitch into the stitching line.
  6. Fold the front yokes right sides together, secure along the edges, and stitch the neckline and bow up to the mark for attaching to the front. Stitch the armhole edge. Clip the allowances, clip the allowance at the mark, turn the pieces right side out, and press.
  7. Stitch the shoulder seams, inserting the back between the front yokes.
  8. Along the top edge of the front, stitch with a loosened top thread and gather. Attach the outer front yoke to the front. Fold the allowance of the inner yoke inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer yoke attachment.
  9. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment. Press the allowances to the wrong side and topstitch.
