Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. You will also need: fusible interfacing, 3 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance for the garment and sleeve hem — 1.5 cm, other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back part – 2 pieces
    • Back waistband — 2 pieces
    • Lower back part — 1 piece
    • Upper front part — 2 pieces
    • Front waistband — 4 pieces
    • Lower front part — 2 pieces
    • Sleeve — 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Front waistband — 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch the darts on the upper back pieces, press the dart fullness towards the center. Stitch the center seam on the upper back pieces, press seam allowances to the left and overcast.
  3. Along the lower edge of the upper front piece, stitch with a loosened thread and gather.
  4. Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the upper garment, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  5. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length of the back and front + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the neckline edge, right side facing, extending the ends, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  6. Stitch the back and front waistbands together, press seam allowances open. Stitch the side seams of the lower garment, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  7. Overcast the bias edges of the lower front pieces, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Place the waistband pieces right sides together, insert the lower garment between them and stitch, simultaneously finishing the front center edge of the waistband. Start and end the stitching precisely at the marked seam line of the upper edge.
  8. Attach the outer part of the waistband to the upper garment, press seam allowances towards the waistband. Press the seam allowance of the inner waistband to the wrong side and topstitch into the seam of the outer waistband attachment.
  9. Stitch the sleeve seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast. Stitch along the sleeve cap with a loosened thread and gather. Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching notches. Press and overcast seam allowances.
  10. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  11. On the right front, overcast a buttonhole, on the left front, sew on a button. On the left front, overcast an inner buttonhole, sew on a hidden button. Sew a decorative button on the right front.
