IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: All allowances – 1.0 cm. Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:

  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Collar – 1 piece
    • Collar stand – 1 piece
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Fold the belt piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the long side and one short side. Trim seam allowances at corners, turn right side out, and press.
  3. Stitch the princess seam of the right front, inserting the belt according to the marks. Overlock seam allowances. Stitch the princess seam of the left front. Overlock seam allowances.
  4. Overlock side seams separately, simultaneously with sleeve seams. Stitch side seams, simultaneously with sleeve seams from the bottom to the slit mark. Press seam allowances open.
  5. Stitch shoulder seams, simultaneously with sleeve seams. Press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
  6. Fold collar pieces right sides together and stitch the ends and outer edge. Trim seam allowances, turn collar right side out, shape, and press. Topstitch along the contour. Fold collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch, inserting the collar. Start and end stitching strictly at the marked line for attaching the collar stand to the neckline. Clip seam allowances, turn collar stand right side out, and press.
  7. Place the belt right side onto the right front and secure along the center front seam.
  8. Stitch shoulder seams of the front facing and back neckline facing. Press seam allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the front facing onto the front and back and stitch the front edges and neckline, inserting the collar stand. Clip seam allowances, turn front facing and facing to the wrong side. Secure pieces along the shoulder seams.
  9. Along the lower edge of the sleeve, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather.
  10. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short sides of the cuff. Trim seam allowances, turn right side out, and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve, fold the seam allowance of the inner side of the cuff inwards, and topstitch into the seam of attaching the outer cuff.
  11. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
  12. Make buttonholes and sew buttons on the fronts and cuffs. Make the inner buttonhole. Sew the inner button.
